Rome! And some exciting Little Women News
Rome with 6 kids, 6 adults, and gratefully, no stomach bugs
Hello friends!
I don’t know why I thought I’d be able to write about travelling around Rome with 6 adults and 6 kids while travelling around Rome with 6 adults and 6 kids… but here we finally are at the farm in Spain (where we will be based for the next two weeks), and I finally have a chance to open a computer for the first time!
Keep reading for our stories from Rome, but before the paywall, I wanted to share some exciting news about Little Women … (drumroll)… it’s now available for Preorder!
In case you missed it, I’ve been working on annotating Little Women for Middle Grade and Teen readers for the past year or so, and it releases on December 3rd (making it the perfect Christmas gift, because Little Women is a very cozy Christmas book!) But- did you know that you can preorder it already! Why should you do this if you can just get it anywhere from December?
If you preorder a copy directly from the Owl’s Nest website, they will include a free gift for you when they ship it on December 3rd! Support small, independent publishers!
If you send me some kind of proof of preorder (like a screen shot), I’ll send you my digital Little Women Christmas feast guide. A bunch of food and activities to host your own Little Women Christmas party based on actual things mentioned in the book (just email me by replying to this email).
The MAIN reason is that preorders help other people find the book. When you preorder, when you mark this as “To Be Read” on Good Reads, when you do read it and leave a review (anywhere! Amazon, Good Reads, your own social media) it helps bump this book higher in all the algorithms so that people searching for it can find it.
Q: I am not a Teen or Middle Grade Reader… will I like this annotated edition?
A: YES! Especially if you have never read Little Women this is a great introduction. OR if you’ve read it but wondered what the deal with pickled limes was, or how bad scarlet fever really was in Civil War times, or if it’s true that the Alcott family hid people escaping slavery on the Underground Railroad in their home… this book will answer all your questions.
Q: I am in South Africa - can I still get Preorder perks?
A: If you Preorder the kindle edition, I will still send you my preorder perk! Unfortunately, you’d have to figure out a way to get a hard copy shipped from the USA if you want the Owl’s Nest perks.
Now… on to Rome!
