Madrid! (And a reminder to preorder Little Women)
Also featuring - Tiny House Living in Plough mag
Hello friends!
We are back home and diving into end of year festivities at school (including four performances of the Christmas play) - but this also means I have time to write again! I previously shared about our week in Rome, and this post will be all about Madrid. (Features: sword making, playgrounds, and breakfast - not to be missed!)
But first, two quick things:
THANK YOU to everyone who has preordered Little Women! This is your reminder that you can preorder directly from Owl’s Nest and you’ll get a fun freebie when the book releases on December 3rd. Or, you can preorder from Amazon or your favorite bookstore. If you do, let me know and I’ll send you my Little Women Christmas Feast guide as a thank you gift! Preorders and reviews matter because they help this little book get found in the vast spaces of the internet. So, thank you!
You may have missed it, but Plough recently published an article I wrote about the tensions and joys of living in community and living in a tinyhouse. (If you’re new here, our family lived in a tinyhouse for just over four years). It’s about St. Francis and Thoreau, and consumerism and moral superiority and community and I hope you enjoy it!
Now - on to Madrid! If you’re a free subscriber, you won’t be able to read this essay, but don’t worry, I just have one more of these essays coming and then we are back to our regular programming — I’m already cooking up an essay on Advent and Prince Caspian for you. Never fear. Of course, if you want to be a paid subscriber - awesome!
